Handy January 14, 2008 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
Credit Card Survival Tool: The size and shape is quite handy -- and eye-catching when produced socially. The blade takes getting used to. I'm still not entirely clear what two of its functions are, but having them doesn't hurt. If the pocket case were leather instead of thin plastic it would slip out of its case less often. Remember not to put it in a carry-on going through security until this Administration changes!
It's a good "urban" survival tool November 26, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I am pretty happy with this purchase, it makes for a pretty handy "gee I wish I could open this bottle/cut this paper/open this can oh wait I can!" device. Anyway, the one I used the most is the bottle opener, and it takes a little patience to get used to opening bottles this way. Definetly a handy tool to keep in your wallet. The inclusion of a "compass hole" (the big circle with the lines around it) seems unecessary, since it's designed for a button compass to be pressed into it (at least, as far as I can tell).
Forget it until you need it! November 11, 2007 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
The beauty of this stainless steel survival tool is that you can tuck it away any where (wallet, glove box) and use it when you need it for emergencies. The saw and blade alone are highly valuable survival tools. The ruler and bottle opener are handy for everyday uses.
Caution November 10, 2007 3 out of 19 found this review helpful
Such "credit card" survival kits are good, but they carry one caution: Don't try to take them through an airport. Forgetting I had it, I did. Once. The saw and other such portions didn't make it through security. I didn't own this product, but one similar to it. Maybe this one would be allowed. However, best leave it home before trying to fly to Aunt Sue's for the holidays.
