Exactly what one needs, when one needs it. March 15, 2008 Essentially, this is a very well-built knife for the cost. It opens and slides very smoothly, and it locks satisfyingly into place. There is no looseness to the blade before or after it locks, and the slim profile fits nicely in the pocket (where the clip keeps it handy). If I were to list any complaint for this item, I would say that it does not come particularly sharp from the factory, requiring you to do the job yourself when you receive it. Also, the black has begun, ever so slightly, to wear off of the clip. For the price of this knife, though, these complaints are minimal. A fantastic deal.
Came on time... low quality knife however November 2, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The knife came without delay but I was surprised to find it was low quality... the knife often jams when closing/
Ok blade, terrible clip October 26, 2007 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I originally saw this knife at Big 5 and thought that it was an acceptable upgrade from the original Gerber knife that I first bought. (Gerber knives are terrific for beginners, btw. Sharp blade and compact handles make for easy carrying) I thought that the look was sharp and Smith and Wesson is a good company, so I searched online for a cheaper price. Found this one and bought it. Great shipping, but I was disappointed in the knife itself.
I was hoping for something slightly heavier with easy opening and a sharp blade. I was most disappointed in the clip itself. This knife opens one-handedly and can be flicked open using the thumb screw. However, it frequently got stuck open, especially when opened too quickly, and I had to use my other knife blade to move the clip over so I could close the blade. The paint on the handle also chips off easily. I've only used this maybe once before I bought another S&W knife:

THIS is a good knife. I bought the version without the black blades and it works perfectly for me. Nice sharp blades, reliable, easy to hold, a good weight, and opens and closes better than the first one I bought.
However, I do recommend going to a hunting or camping store and trying out the knives yourself. What fits you may not fit another person's hand. Hope this was helpful.
Great Knife!!! February 11, 2007 Wonderful knife. I use it all the time. It is light, compact, sharp, and cool looking too. I would suggest this to anyone that wants a knife for general use or Law Enforcement "Duty Use".
