Product Description Each traditional Marine combat knife is equipped with a 7 1/4" stainless steel blade with teeth like serrations. The rubberized handle allows for a superb grip with no worries of slipping. The military style impact resistance sheath is designed to hold the knife securely but, offers quick and easy access. The ultimate survival knife that doesn't cost a fortune. 12" overall.

Ka bar knock off December 28, 2008 I currently own this knife, AND the real Ka Bar it copies. I have to say, it's cheap junk. yes, it is a real knife that can cut and kill, but a Ka bar is much more than a pointy metal bar. it is a Survival knife just as much, if not more than a Fighting knife. Because of this a real Ka Bar is exceptionally tough and can withstand severe abuse. The knock off sold here just isn't. it is a cheap flimsy imitation of the real thing. it would never hold up under real use. I would not in a million years trust my life to it.
HOWEVER, it's really cheap, and mimicks the balance and feel of a real Kabar close enough to be used as a training knife. If you own a Real Ka Bar, I HIGHLY suggest you also own a cheap knock off. They make the best training knives due to thier similarities. Take a grinder to the edge and dull it severely so it will not cut.
As a Budding Kuntao Silat student (Uncle Bill lineage)in Chicago, having a severely dulled generic knock off of my favorite knife has been a major blessing. I can do the two man drills, and full speed knife handling drills safely and securely with this knife once the edge was ground down dull.
This knock off is a MUST HAVE for anyone who owns a real Ka Bar, of any full sized model. No one is going to want to ruin a $70.00 knife to make it safe for practice, but a $9.00 knife is just asking to be converted into a trainer.
Marine Drop Point Survival Knife December 23, 2008 These were shipped and delivered on time. I purchased several. They are all well balanced and very affordable. The knives look tough! I have not used any yet but I fiddled with them and I was very satisfied.
Cheap Isn't Always Bad October 17, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
The balance is poor and the handle is uncomfortable, meaning this knife would make a relatively poor weapon in a real combat situation. On the upside, it's actually sturdier than its price tag would suggest, and surprisingly sharp. An excellent buy for the money, and a good addition to any blademaster's collection. Just don't expect to slay any dragons with this one, it has a -1 penalty to attack rating!
Deadly and CHEAP September 18, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
A bargain knife that is capable of inflicting serious hurt. This is no costume prop for Halloween or something... it is a real knife that can really kill someone. Never, ever let a kid play with something like this. It is lightweight, very sharp with a deadly tip and saw teeth. The plastic sheath is cheap and effective, just like the knife itself. This may not be some top of the line deluxe hunting knife; however it is a real knife that is really deadly.
Functional at a good price August 31, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This knife is a spin off of the K-bar brand. I bought it specifically because it had the non-slip rubber grip that I wanted without spending $70. Look, spending 10 bucks for a knife means you are going to sacrifice something, but with this knife at the price it's not too much. The knife definitely has some weight to it and has a good feel in the hand. The grip is also non-slip. About the biggest disappointment is that the blade itself although made of stainless, has a rather matte finish to it instead of a polished gleam. This seems to be a trend even in higher priced models. However the blade is not flimsy and I would not want to be on the receiving end of it... by any means. The sheath is a hard shell type meant to be tied around your leg so it doesn't flop around. Actually the picture of the sheath is a little misleading at first because it looks as if the knife point is meant to stick out from the end of the sheath, but that is the tie down cords that have been cropped in the picture. For the price of the knife on sale, I think it is much more worthy than simply a gag gift.
