I knew when I ordered this I was not going to get a top of the line knife, but I must say that for the price it was better than I expected. The blade itself does have somewhat of a gleam to it, but it is not as highly polished as say as $50 knife would be. That being said however, it is a sturdy knife with some weight and a good feel to it. I like the fact that the hand grip is made out of semi hard no-slip rubber, rather than some hard plastic like material that might slip in your hands if they got sweaty. The sheath is rather basic and there is not much to say about it except that it serves it purpose. This knife has a very sharp point and the edge is acceptable. The blade is made of 440 stainless steel. Overall a great deal on a decent knife.
