Sharp Accessory! February 21, 2008
This is the second piece I've ordered from this company, and my opinion of them only seems to be getting better each time! Indeed, they seem to know everything about their products, how to ship them, and how to create a weapon that any otaku can be proud of.
First, the shipping. Not once have I had a shipment from this company arrive late or damaged. If pressed, I'd swear that they must pressure pack all of their packages with packing peanuts, because with each box, I pour out more cushioning material than I've probably received in the 10 previous orders from other companies. Expect good shipping and packaging from these people. They haven't disappointed yet.
Second, the product. I was a bit disappointed in the quality of the sheath and irritated that it wasn't shown in the photo so that I could see it before ordering. It's a rather simple sheath suited to a Crocodile Dundee type outfit, and the tanto doesn't fit as snugly in it as it probably should. I was also not quite so pleased with the engraved "samurai" at the hilt as I expected to be, but as this is for a costume and the engraving really makes no difference, I cannot complain overly. The tanto itself, however, is a fine instrument. The blade is flawless; the handle grips nicely, and when viewed from the side (without its sheath, of course), it really is an intimidating sight.
Overall, a great product! I would recommend the company and the tanto to most any otaku.
